Accessibility Training Manitoba

The Manitoba Accessibility Customer Service e-Learning Program presents an interactive design for education and training under the Accessible Customer Service Standard. The goal of this training program is to give participants knowledge and information which they can apply to working with and serving people with disabilities. Topics include: an introduction to the Accessibility for Manitobans Act; What is Accessibility; Understanding the Types of Disabilities; and the Role of Service Animals, Support Persons, and Assistive Devices.

Anti-Spam Training (CASL)

All employers that are covered by Canadian Anti-Spam legislation are required to have a policy and train all workers and volunteers on Anti-Spam (CASL) compliance. AODA IASR Accessibility Ontario

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) legally requires all public and private organizations that provide goods or services either directly to the public or to other organizations in Ontario (third parties) and that have one or more workers, to provide accessible customer service to persons of all ability levels. The first regulation under the AODA was the Customer Service Standard which became part of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) on July 1, 2016.

Prevent Bullying, Harassment & Violence in the Workplace

Bill 14 (BC)

The government of British Columbia passed Bill 14, effective July 2, 2012, which expanded the definition of violence, and requires employers to have formal anti-harassment & anti-violence prevention plans, train employees and management on these policies, and set out a fair, thorough, unbiased and objective process for investigating complaints. This course has been written by subject-matter specialists to help employees better recognize, respond to, and protect themselves against harassment, bullying, and violence.

Bill 30 (Alberta)

Changes to Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and Workers’ Compensation (WCB) System came into effect June 1, 2018. Bill 30 includes specific duties employers, supervisors, and employees must follow to address harassment and violence, and the requirement of employee training. Our Prevent Harassment/Bullying & Violence Video Kit provides you with the information required to conduct employee training as it relates to harassment and violence under Alberta’s updated OHS legislation.

Prevent Sexual Violence & Harassment

Bill 132 (Ontario)

The Ontario government passed Bill 132, the Sexual Violence and Harassment Action Plan Act, which amended, among other statutes, the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). It follows the changes to OHSA brought in by Bill 168, which set out how harassment is to be dealt with as a health and safety issue in the workplace. Bill 132 amends the OHSA to expand the meaning of workplace harassment to include workplace sexual harassment.

Prevent Violence & Harassment in the Workplace

Bill 168 (Ontario)

On June 15, 2010, Bill 168, which amended the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to deal with workplace violence and harassment, came into force. In 2016, Bill 132 further amended the OHSA to expand the meaning of workplace harassment to include workplace sexual harassment. Our video training program will enable employees to recognize behaviours that could be perceived as harassing, bullying, and discriminatory. Training also includes an introduction to bystander intervention.

In Canada, each province, territory and the federal government has its own Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Unconscious Bias & Microaggressions

Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training

Employers must ensure workers complete a Health & Safety Awareness Training Program as soon as practical. This includes all workers covered under Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, regardless of what sector they work in or their employment status (full-time, part-time, seasonal, etc.). Young Workers Safety Training

Canada-Wide

There are hazards in every workplace and the young and inexperienced workers are especially at risk. Slips and falls, over exertion, falling objects, exposure to hazardous chemicals, and contact with hazardous materials all cause injuries to young workers. Studies show that new and young workers are four times more likely to get injured during their first month on the job than any other time. With our video training program, young workers will learn what their rights are and how to protect themselves to ensure they arrive home safe at the end of each workday.
