Supervisors and Managers need to remember the following:
- Truly model positive workplace behaviours and encourage others to do the same.
- Really listen to your workers and treat their feedback with respect.
- Step in if you observe any disrespectful behaviour among your workers. Be sure to document the incident fully, regardless of its severity. This will ensure that if there is a pattern of similar incidents, the pattern will be identified and the proper course of action can be taken.
- Report instances of harassment immediately to your immediate supervisor, including instances of disrespect you observe among other supervisors.
